"We've now learned how to construct and play at A harmonic minor scale ok on the violin, but now we are going to take a look at it on staff paper. Take a look. Here's our treble cliff, ok we have a one under the A, because that scale degree is number one, that's how we label it. Ok B there's a two, and if you see, between two and three there's a 'v shape thing connecting it. This represents a half step, ok. Four D, five E and again we have this thing right here ok. That means it's a half step alright, now between seven and eight I'll draw in ok a half step too. Between seven and eight. Because G sharp and A are right next to each other."
