"Ok we are going to look at a couple of examples playing rim clicks. So instead of playing back beats on the snare head. We are going to play them this way. And when you play these rim clicks you are going to see that the sound changes depending on where I play it. Finding the best sound, I like that sound there. It's going to depend, I'll play it here and play a couple of examples for you. So what you don't want to be doing is having the tip of the stick all the way down by the rim. It's going to sound very empty, you also don't want to be all the way up here, it doesn't sound very full. There's a point in the middle where you'll hear that it sounds the most full, I'm playing it with the butt end of the stick. And that's the way you should play the rim clicks."
