"Today we are changing a side view mirror on a 1996 Ford Explorer. In this step I'm going to demonstrate the proper service procedure for remounting your replacement power mirror. What I am going to do is just slip it over to the outside line it up with the groove just like so. I am actually going to get it through the speaker hole and guide it downward just like that and then I'll take it and line up my stud hole and hold my mirror in place. Now if you are working alone or it doesn't want to stay there you can take a use a piece of duct tape and just make a sling for it and hold that mirror. What I'm going to do is take it and use a little bit of leverage from my finger right like so and hold it in place. I am now going to take a socket and one mounting bolt just like so and take and slip up inside this hole and start my nut. Alright I am going to go ahead and run this down finger tight right there. Once you have one of them in place you can go ahead and let go of it and start your other nut. There's my second and now for the third and the final one, right like so. Once you have them all started you can take and tighten them down. Now we are dealing with plastic so be very careful not to over tighten. You are looking at just about a quarter turn past contact. What I actually mean is when the mirror actually makes contact with the door skin. Right there, that is the proper service procedure for remounting your new or your replacement power mirror to the door frame."
