How to Make a Whip Stitch When Hand Sewing (with Video)

Video Preview

Summary: An overhand stitch can be used to join two pieces of fabric. Most commonly used on fleece or felt pieces. If you use this stitch to connect felt or fleece pieces; once you are completed you can pull fabrics flat and your stitches will be decorative. I use a whip stitch to close most of my hems. The whip stitch can create a near invisible seam from the front of the fabric; especially when using the same color thread as the fabric.
