Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Press the needle in and out of the fabric in a rocking motion, taking much longer stitches than with your standard running stitch. Stitch tension and spacing is not as important as other stitches.

  2. Step 2

    For more secure gathers, you can run two seams close together.

  3. Step 3

    To gather your fabric, pull the thread out on either end pushing the fabric towards the center until you reach your desired length and tie off.
