Step 1
Decide what size you want your certificate to be. The certificate shown measures approximately 3” x 7”. With this size, two certificates will fit on one sheet. That dimension is only a suggestion; you could use a full page if desired. For demonstration, the smaller 3” x 7” will be used. Start with a blank PowerPoint set to landscape.
-
Step 2
Use the rectangle tool to draw a rectangle. Choose the color you want for the fill. For our example, a gold background with a gradient affect applied was used.
-
Step 3
Adding a border within the inner edges of the rectangle is optional, but adds a nice. To add a border, use the rectangle tool. Remove the fill. Choose a line style, weight, and color.
-
Step 4
Using the word “member” and the current year are customary. That date indicates the year in which dues were paid. Also add the organization’s name, and logo. If the organization does not have a logo, you can go without or you can add a decorative piece of artwork.
-
Step 5
Position the text and artwork so it looks appealing to you. If available, print on glossy paper like that used to print photos.
-
Step 6
The next time the dues are paid for your organization, present them with this certificate. This is an excellent way to show appreciation to the member for paying their dues.
