Step 1
Make sure and drink plenty of water maybe even a meal replacement drink before heading out, you don't want to look this this when you come in.
-
Step 2
Put wet cloth around wrist and neck. This works great on the job site to help keep your body temps down. Rinse them out often.
I took socks as I always have so many mismatched ones. I cut off the tops for my wrist and used the tube for my neck. If you want it longer sew both tubes together. I’m now ready to mow the lawn and try to stay cooler. -
Step 3
Put a little peppermint in water and either spritz on feet or put in a pan of water and soak your feet. The peppermint will make your feet feel cool. You can do this at work I used to.
-
Step 4
When you get home take a shower or a dip in a pool to cool off.
-
Step 5
Don't forget to drink a lot of water all day long, you don’t want to get dehydrated.
Drinking a lot of water will help you sweat and this will actually make you feel cooler with a little breeze. -
Step 6
Lay in front of a fan naked if you are really brave, if not just get in front of a fan. The more you move the hotter you’ll be. When at work be smart don’t over do it.
-
Step 7
By playing it smart, taking breaks as often as you can, you will have a happy summer despite the Indiana heat & humidity.

on 10/22/2008 These would work for any hot place, I'd think. I've lived in KS, south TX, central Australia, and now FL. Your tips are on target.
