On-Board Audio for Computers

"Hi, my name is Tony Ramirez from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village this is audio for your pc. All right, so our next thing that we're going to talk about is the actual on board audio. Most computers, especially laptops and desk tops will have an audio card actually built into the motherboard. So that's what you're seeing here, these cables that are all plugged up in here. These are actually the cables that will actually control the audio. I do have a surround sound set up on this computer, so that's why things are color coded the way that they are. One will go to my sub woofer, another will go to my rear speakers and front speakers and so on. So, this is an easy feature if you don't want to actually add a card. Whether it be an external USB card or some type of internal PCI card. A lot of your computers, especially newer computers will have these built in audio capabilities. So that's one of your options, your on board build into computer or your actual laptop. Which will usually will only be stereo. Sometimes you do get digital options also. Where you'll have an optical out, or you'll have some type of digital coax out also. This is the on board just like that."
