"On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Tom Roland and we're Cottonwood Motorsports and I'm here to tell you about doing service on a Polaris Quad and this is fairly representative of much of many of them. Alright, on the transmission on the Polaris 500, the final drive and the transmission which is high, low, neutral and reverse is all in one unit. So when you change the transmission oil on the 500 you're also changing the final drive which is the output gears for the rear axles. So you get it all at once and that's a nice thing. On the later model 500's, they have a, they have a drain plug right here on this side. And this would be your drain plug. And you pull it out and let it drain out completely. While you're over here, you would also check the linkage to make sure that there's, that nothing's loose and that this nut here hasn't got loose or that the shaft isn't, that this arm isn't loose on the shaft. You would also make sure that there's no damage to the gear shift indicator switch which is right over here and usually there's not but you have to look at all these things. Also, this is a speed sensor for the transmission. Now they don't all have this so. Some of them have it, the older ones have a cable on the other side and you have to look at that also. And then while you're here you'll also look at, once again the springs on the exhaust to make sure that all the bolts are tight and make sure that the exhaust system is tight like it's supposed to be. There's also on the Polaris's, there's a lot of green circs. There's green circs right up here on these. There's also green circs on the bottom. There's some on the front that I'll point out later. Also there are CV booths, and I'll show you those in just a second."
