Types of Potpourri

"Hi, I'm Susan Paxton for Expert Village and today we're going to mix some potpourri. Some of the different kinds of potpourri that I make is a rose petal potpourri out of the rose petals. And a woodland potpourri. I also make a lavender sashays and a lavender potpourri which is what we're going to do today. The woodland potpourri has little pine cones and little red berries that are dried. It has various types of leaves. Some of them I have purchased and some of them I dry myself. Sometimes there's even, I've found some little mushrooms are growing that I dry. So you can do all kinds of different potpourris. With the rose petals potpourri, because I have a floral shop most of the roses I dry myself, the petals and what I do is I take off the guard petals. When a rose grows it has these little guard petals on it that you can just pull off without hurting the rose and that's what I dry."
