"Hi! I'm Robin with Trees-mom.com and we're making a video today for Expert Village today. We are making a cell phone holder. The wire that we are using is the 24 gage gold wire. To get started, we make a loop, then go underneath that loop, make another loop with your thumb, and pull it through. This is where your crochet hook is going to go. We need to remember to keep the crochet hook with the hook always facing towards us. We're going to leave this little tail here so we can hold on to it. We need to remember to keep our stitches uniform, all the same length, as we are making our chain, and make sure that we don't pull it too tight. If we do pull it too tight, we can always push through the crochet hook like this and it'll make it a little bit bigger. When holding the crochet hook, you'll hold it with your fingers wrapped around it like this. Kind of like a spoon or a fork, which is probably than you hold it when you normally crochet. When you do wire, it's a little bit harder, so we have to really hold on to it like this to be able to manipulate the wire."
