How to Tie an Angler's Loop Knot

"Now I'm going to show you the anglers loop. The anglers loop is really just an overhand bend with an extra little twist to it. Now this is used if you're going to use this through slippery ropes. You can actually use this with bungee cord as well. Something that?s going to stretch and move. It was originally designed back in the day whenever fishermen used gut, you know for their lines. So if we look down here, you can see that I've got my line here. And I'm just going to take it and create an underhand loop with my working end going under my standing line. What I'm going to do, is I'm just going to bring it back over, like so. And this is basically as you can see right here, and overhand knot with a loop in it. Now what I'm going to do, is I'm going to take my working end, bring it back underneath my standing line. And its going to come back around. And these two pieces here that are creating my loop that's going through my overhand knot, I'm going to tuck it around behind them. And as I tighten this up, lets pull this back a little bit. As I tighten this up, this will create a nice secure bend. That you can put in almost any slippery rope, and its guaranteed to hold."
