How to Tie a Bachmann Knot

"Now this is another climbers special. This is called a Bachmann knot. Now if you look down here, you can see I've got my line. This would normally be my lead line here. I'm not really a climber so. But if I was a climber, I would definitely not be using these ropes. These are just instructional ropes. Make sure you talk to a climber before attempting any of these knots here. Because I don't want you to harm or injure yourself here. As you can see, I've got my loop here, like so. I'm going to place my loop, kind of against my line, like so. What I'm going to do is I'm going to run this over, just kind of attach this. Oops, this is why I definitely wouldn't use this line, as you can see its all ready bound up into my anchor here. There you go. Against my rope, like so. Now this, what we're going to end up doing, is we're going to end up taking, we're going to end up wrapping, once, and then once through this again, like so. We're going to do this once, twice. And as you can see my hoop is not big enough to accept it a third time, if I can get this to work right. But its not going to accept it twice anyway. We're going to loop it twice, and a third time. What this would be to do, is to make sure these knots stay side by side with one another, not over. Because this is a safety line for me if I am climbing, and I don't want this to bind up on me. There you go; this would be a Bachmann's knot."
