"Now this is a great one that you can use, and something that you can remember, this is the proper way to tether your horse to the hitching post. This is called the halter hitch. What we've got down here, we will show you, I have my line here, this one's going to be a little bit difficult to show this way, but I'm going to try it anyway. What we're going to do is we're going to take our line, our working end here. And we're going to loop it over our post here. And we're going to take it and wrap it under, and we're going to come back up here and create another bow in this. And we're going to slide it through the original loop that we've made. Just pull it a little bit tighter here. Got to lay this flat, so that we can see this here. Then what I'm going to do is I'm going to take my working end, and I'm going to pull it back over through that second loop that we made. Creating this style here that you can see when I lay this flat. Creating a style like this. And as you pull it together, this will create a nice knot. And this will be proper, well the standard way that we use to tether horses down. And there you go, the halter hitch. Now let?s do this one more time. Pull it out, take our loop. I'll do this flat, so that we can get a good look at this. Loop this around. Let?s get a little bit of line on here. Loop this around. Loop this under. Create a little bend here. Run it through. And then run this line through like so. And there you go. A halter hitch."
