"Hi, I'm Marilyn Anderson, I'm the author of the dating book "Never Kiss a Frog." I'm here today on behalf of expertvillage.com to talk to you about how to do effective internet dating. The question is, once you've decided to meet someone, where do you go? Coffee, tea, or more? The first rule of where to meet somebody on your first internet date, is go in public. You want to be careful, you want to be cautious and you want to be smart. So no meeting strangers at your house or having them pick you up. Go out to a public place. You know if a woman wants to cook you dinner, not on the first date. Guys just think about it, if she's wanting to cook you dinner the first time, maybe she's not the best choice. And women, you want to save that for later. Now some people like to do a casual first meet; like at a coffee shop, Star Bucks, or wherever and some people feel that a lunch or dinner is fine. After all you do get to see a little more of a person. You get to see their table manners and you get to see how the treat the wait staff and hey, you've got to eat. So whatever you decide to do, dress appropriately for the occasion, go and have fun."
