How to Tie a Scaffold Knot

"Now a scaffold knot is like a double overhand knot with a loop in it. There's many ways that you can do this, and I'll show you the way that I like to tie it. So we're going to go on and take the length of the rope that I have here, and we'll place it here. And what we'll do is we'll go ahead and place a loop in it. And we'll take these two pieces of rope and we'll put and put them together. And we'll come back up and we'll create a full turn around this loop. Now we'll take my working end and then work it back through the loops that I have created. And then tighten it up. There we go, this forms a nice noose here. A nice simple noose. and you can pull on it and you can see it's a nice sliding slip knot. So we'll undo this, and we'll do it one more time. So what we'll do is we'll take our length of rope and we'll put a loop in it right here. And take a little bit longer of my working end. And we'll take it and we'll loop it around one full time to create. And then we'll take our working end, and slip it under. And you'll see this creates a working end here. And we'll pull it tight. And there you go. A nice simple scaffold knot."
