Using Extra Closet Space

"Hello, I'm Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village, today we're going to be learning how to organize your closet. In this clip let's talk about making use of extra closet space. By that I mean we are indeed in this particular room that I mentioned in the earlier clips, we turn this room into a clothing room, but there is a closet in here, it's a small closet but there's some extra closet space. Now in this case we didn't really need to use any extra closet space but up here we do have all of our sweaters and our turtlenecks all folded nice and neat. But, it's difficult to see but if you'll look up high there is still probably a good couple of feet in there of spare space. What you can do if you need that extra space, add another shelf. It's very easy to do. I didn't in this case do that, but again, very easy. Also if you look to the ground, you might need the space in case you're putting dresses in here, but in this case here we have some business suits of my husband and we've got nothing on the ground. So what we did is we added some boxes. Instead of just putting some shoes in there, what you're doing is you can put boxes in there and then you can put things on top of the boxes. So you're making use of your closet space and adding extra space if you need it."
