"Now another great variation for your overhand loop is something called a single hitch or is more commonly referred to as a half hitch. So just go ahead and take our length of rope that we have here. You see that I have it placed under our clamp here. What we're going to do is we're just going to wrap it over and create through here our overhand loop. Now you can do it this way here and it's nice and secured. Or if you want to you can actually tuck this working in the back under here and create a quick release loop on it. So all you have to do is grab it and release it and there you go. Now this has no practical purpose because it's not going to be no low baring rope but it's nice just in case you have to secure something permanently, not permanently. So we'll go ahead and take our rope, slide it over again, create our overhand knot for a simple half hitch and then we'll tuck our working end back under. There we go a nice quick release loop here. Voila and it is done."
