Assess Closet Space

"Hello, I'm Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village we are going to learn how to organize your closet. In this clip let's talk about assessing your clothing real estate. I've mentioned clothing real estate in earlier clips, but let's explain that now. By that I mean, let's say you've got a closet, you may have two long closets or one very small closet. You need to assess the real estate just like the size of your house; you need to assess the size of your closet space. What space you are allotting your clothes to inhabit, because that's going to depend on a lot of things. You know, mainly how many clothes can you have? Where are you going to store them? What's going to go in the drawers? So how much space do you have? You know, that is a really important part of it. And then in future clips we will talk about assessing that space and going out and getting what you will need to make that work for you. Getting the Rubbermaid tins or the storage containers, that's really the biggest problem when people are organizing their closets. Is that they haven't assessed their real estate and they haven't got the right tools to make that space work for them. "
