on 7/10/2009 In 1988, I have purchased a piece of sculpture from the artist who created
it - do I have the right to do anything I wish to do with it? More
specifically, I want to photograph this sculpture and put it on a brochure
and/or my website, for my own business purpose (which is not an art
venture). Can I freely do this? There were no copyright conditions or
discussions with the artist, I simply purchased his work for my personal
pleasure and use. Can you refer me to the applicable legal provision that
applies here?

I would very much appreciate your comment on this question.........Thanks
and regards,paul.kende@gmail.com

"Hi, I'm Nathan Boehme writer and film director with Expert Village. In this series it's all about copyrights. Exactly which forms should you use to register your work. Well they conveniently listed a way that clearly states the individual use of each form. Let's take a look. For literary work meaning all books, scripts or outlines use form TX, for performing arts meaning all choreographic dances, plays or musical productions on stage use form PA, for all sound related recordings or music use form SR. For visual arts paintings, photographs or movies use form VA, for serials meaning all newspaper, periodical, magazine or newspaper articles use form SE. So that list covers all the main categories of creative work that you can submit for copyrights. Obviously there are some more categories with a little bit more detail categories with more specifics about the work that you submit but that list is the main basic list of categories and the ones you might use more."
