Closet Organization Strategy

"Hello. I am Melissa Schenk on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to learn how to organize your closet. In this clip now let's talk about planning for your need. By that I mean when you are accessing what you are going to do with your closet space, you need to access for your needs. One plan is not going to suit everyone. In my case what we decided to do in our home. My husband and I, we decided not to put the clothes in our bedroom. We took out that closet and put a TV in there and used that space but we redecorated the whole room and we made this room a walk in closet so to speak. We have a bit more space and we decided because we eventually want to sell this house, we did not want to opt for say the clothing unit you can have installed on the walls. Instead of going around, we opted to have these clothing units here that can later be used in a home that would be in a basement for instance. That we would use these for storage clothes in later time. You need to access for your needs. Not necessarily for right now, but for future needs as well. You know for instance that in this particular room we decided to put them on these units because we did not want to put holes in the walls and we thought we decorated this room and we want to be able to see the paint on the walls and not cover up the decorating so to speak. So again, it is all about accessing your needs, one plan is not going to suit for everyone."
