How to Tie an Overhand Knot With a Draw Loop

"Now, this knot here is the same simple overhand knot, but the difference is that this one's actually going to have a draw loop on it, more like a strangle knot, to actually hold something in its grasp. So, what we're going to do is we're going to take our length of rope that we have here. We'll place it right here on the table. This is going to be my working end and my standing end. And, I'm going to pull a little bit extra here and just loop this around. Make a nice big loop. Then, I'm going to twist it over the same as the simple overhand knot. But, the difference is instead of pulling the working end all the way through, I'm just going to go ahead and pull on this loop here. And, there we go. We have a nice little loop in our overhand knot and, you know, like I said, a good strangle knot for carrying things. If you want to carry this wrench like this perhaps, it's great. So, and if you grab the two ends, you can pull it and it pops loose. So, we'll do that one more time. We'll take our length of rope that we have here and, we'll loop it over. Make our nice little loop. And then, drag this piece under and just pull from the center. There you go, your overhand knot with a loop in it. "
