"Hello, I'm Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village we are going to learn how to organize your closet. In this clip let's talk now about some questions on how to sort your clothes. You know, it is very difficult going through those six piles we were talking about in an earlier clip. So I'm going to offer you now some questions that you need to start asking yourself as you start going through your clothing. The first one, does it fit? If it doesn't fit, then get rid of it or put it in a box for another day. If it doesn't fit it doesn't need to be taking up real estate in your closet. Especially if you have a small amount of space to be working with. So, a big question, does it fit? Another one, is it free of stains, fading or tears? If it has something wrong with it and it has to be fixed, put it in that alteration or repair pile, but again it's taking up too much real estate in your closet. So two simple questions. Another question of course, does it work with all your other clothes or does it, can you mix and match? Is it something you can wear once and it doesn't work with anything else, or can you mix and match? Can it work with your other clothes? Does it work with the other clothes in your closet? A couple of other questions. Does it fit your lifestyle? You may have had a change in jobs recently or some kind of change in your lifestyle, do you still wear those clothes? Do you still wear those business suits or are those things of the past? Are they taking up again too much real estate in your closet? And finally, does it look great on you? If it doesn't look great on you, get rid of it, again it's taking up too much real estate in your closet. "
