"This is John Mendez with Expert Village. I am going to talk about using a resin and a hardener for your enamel. A resin and a hardener is basically a plastic polymer and once you bake it with a pigment it becomes an enamel. So you want to use equal parts of one and one to make your solvent. And when you do make it it comes out runny at first and after about five minutes it starts to cure but it takes a full twenty four hours to forty eight hours to cure. You will want to put this in the oven to speed that up at a hundred degree temperature, which is the lowest temperature setting on your oven, and bake your piece when its all finished and you have enameled it, for about forty five minutes, maybe a half an hour depending on how hot your oven is. And then you will want it to cool down at room temperature, you don't want to put it under cold water because you have a chance of cracking the enamel and then you have ruined your piece. So we are going to go ahead and mix this and I will add the pigment to it and show you what that looks like in your next step. "
