"Hi, this is Mark Kneeskern on behalf of Expert Village and in this clip, I'm going to show you how to buy a shirt for screen printing. You pretty much want to stick with a pretty smooth surface, such as this tee shirt. These are the standard shirts for screen printing is tee shirts but you can go to thrift stores and get a variety of kinds of shirts to print on like this one, this one is a little different but it still has a nice smooth surface for your print to go on. That's essential. Some shirts have ribs or they're highly textured and you really want to stay away from those because your ink will get lost in those textures and your screen won't be very crisp. You can also go ahead and, you know, you can get funky ones like with stripes and things like that but if you're going to get something like this, you'll want to make a very bold design so it will stand out, otherwise it will get lost in the patterns."
