How to Make a Head for Your Yarn Doll

"Hi! I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village, and we are making our yarn doll. We have made the body, the arms, and the hair. Now, we have to make the head that we are going to stuff inside of the body. Basically, you just roll a ball of yarn about an inch to an inch and a half in diameter. Put that aside for a minute. Then you're going to pick up, you're going to pick up your body like that. You're going to put it together and just kind of work out any of the tangles in there with your fingers. Then you're going to lay it flat like that on the table. You are going to take your ball and put it right in the middle like that. Then take a piece of yarn, and you're going to wrap it right underneath. This is going to form the head. You're going to tie it nice and tight. Make sure that you pull all of your yarn nice and straight. Then go ahead and pull it tight. Wrap it around the neck so that it holds it in place, and then double knot it making sure every time that you pull it tight. There you go. That's the beginning of the head. At this point, it kind of looks like a jellyfish."
