Series Summary

Decoupage is the art of decorating an object by gluing pieces of colored paper onto objects like small boxes or decorative furniture. The ancient craft was seen in early 12th century Chinese peasant art and gained great popularity in France during the 17th and 18th centuries. Objects are sometimes painted or gold leaf is used, and then paper is laminated to the object with a special varnish or decoupage glue. A variety of household objects can be used in this handicraft, including glass dishes, wooden boxes and even candles, while newspaper, magazines, wrapping paper and decorative napkins can be used as the paper for decoupaging. In this free video series, our expert will demonstrate how to make a decoupage piggy bank. With step-by-step instructions, our expert will show you how to cut the paper for your decoupage project, how to glue the paper to your object and how to smooth and cut the edges for a beautiful finish to your craft project. With these online tutorials, our expert will show you how to have fun with household items.

You are going to see it's going to come out pretty. It doesn't take too much work and plus you don't need to paint or do any design or just basically take a napkin with a nice design on it.
