"Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip we will be choosing materials. Now the dinning room table that I am making this picture frame to match is made of birch and stained with a dark walnut stain. So I'm obviously going to be using birch lumber for the sides of my frame and then I'll using some 1/4 inch birch plywood for the back of my frame. Typically the easiest wood to work with is oak. Now again, since I am building this picture frame to match another piece of furniture, oak just wouldn't do it."
