"Hi, I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you some tips and techniques I use to place a tail extension on your horses tail. So a few thing that are really key that you want to make sure that you do when your considering purchasing your tail extension for your horse is of course you want to look at the color. This is probably the most important thing. Most retailers would sale basic colors but if your horse is a little bit of a unusual color, it is a gray or a romp or something in that natural you may have to have one actually custom made to match your horse. So that is definitely something that you want to be cautions of when your purchasing a tail is you want to make sure that it is going to exactly match or very closely match your horses tail color. Because if your extension is off it is going to be really really obvious that you have one tied in your horses tail. You also want to take into consideration how much weight you would need or how much thickness you would need on your horses tail. If your horse has a really thin tail you might want to consider purchasing a one pound extension If your horse has a fairly full tail such as she does you might just want to consider doing a half pound extension. Which is what I have tied in her right now. So that is something definitely you want to consider. You also want to consider the length and the fullness of the tail when you look at what type of extension to have. Since she has a really nice full tail we are able to do the kind that you tied in. If she had a really short tail we may have to get the kind that actually ties in up here which is a different kind of extension then the one we have tied in. So those are all things that you want to take into consideration when you purchasing your tail extension."
