"Hi, I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you some tips and techniques I use to place a tail extension on your horses tail. Now that we have extension tied in and everything combed out really nicely we are going to just trim the ends of the tail to make sure they properly match the extension Because if your tied your extension in maybe a little bit to high or your tail is a whole lot longer then your extension it could look a little bit off and look a little bit obvious like you have extension tied in your horses tail. Also to if you have your extension tied to low if you back your horse up or anything this may cause your horse to step on it and rip it out. So you definitely want to make sure that everything is really nice and blended. So what we are going to do is we are going to smooth her tail together. We are going to gather up the ends. You can tell by looking at it where your extension end and where the rest of her tail is. So you can see we have a couple of inches here that is a little bit longer. So I?m not going to trim all of that off but I'm just going to trim a little bit to make it a little bit more blended. That also to gives it a really nice blunt edge so it would hang a lot nicer. So you can see it looks a lot more blended that way. It is not so obvious that we have a extension tied in her tail and also most horses need there tail trim every once in a while to make sure they are not to long and they are not being stepped on. So that is how you want to trim your tail to match your extension."
