"Hi! This is Kelli and on behalf of Expert Village, I am going to show you some tips and techniques that I use to place a tail extension on your horse's tail. The first thing you will want to do is make sure that you comb out your tail extension and you have it nice and tangle free. You also want to make sure that you are washing these every once in a while because they will get a lot of build up on them and when I wash mine, I actually blow dry it so it will go straight and not be wavy. So what we are going to do is take a little bit of detangler and we are going to work this through our tail extensions especially at the ends. We are just going to take our brush and comb it out section by section. So just do it section by section. You don't want to rip any hair out of your extension. You want to make sure that you get all the tangles out so just work in small sections, get all the tangles out and get it prepared to go into your horse's tail. Because once you have it in your horse's tail, you don't want to have to work on any hard tangles because that might loosen your tying job so you want to get any tangles out before you put your tail in. After you have all your tangles out, your extension is ready to be tied into your horse's tail. "
