Video Transcript

"On behalf of Expert Village I'm Nicole and I'm here to tell you about Iguanas. The best way to tame your Iguana is to begin at a very young age. If you are picking an Iguana from the pet store it's best to get him as really young so that you are able to tame them and get a real early start on correcting their bad behavioral The best way to befriend any Iguana is to become completely non threatening. You don't want to be threatening to your Iguana at all. The first thing you should do is just make your Iguana use to your presence he needs to feel comfortable with you being next to him. Once that is achieved you'll be able to tell an Iguana that is intimidated or scared of you will may be back up, puff out the body a little bit, threatening you with it's tail. You'll be able to tell if your Iguana is scared or not. Once he is comfortable with you being next to him he needs to become comfortable with you reaching in his cage. Not necessarily picking him up but reaching in his cage alone and the next step would be to touch him. Not to pick him up to wrap but to wrap your hand around him like you would if you were going to pick him up. Once he is comfortable with that you should be able to lift your Iguana up and again this needs to be done repeatedly on a daily bases to achieve a very tamed Iguana."
