If you do not already have a vet lined up for your Iguana, just call your local vet, and they should be able to guide you on your way to finding a veterinarian with a herpetological background. Now you can also go online and look up any questions you have on Iguanas. The web should be able to answer for you. There's also books that are wonderful for using at home. If you ever have a moment where you are curious about why your Iguana is acting the way he does, or if your Iguana has a problem, the book you can purchase at a pet store is an excellent source of information. You also can go to your local pet store and they will often have specialists in reptiles that you can speak to regarding your pet. I purchased this book from the local pet store. It's called "The Green Iguana Manual", and it's made by the people at Advanced Vivarium Systems, and I love these people. I buy all their books for the reptiles that I have, because they are an excellent source of information. They cover just about every subject on Iguanas that you could possibly have a question for. "
