"Hi! I'm Brenda F. Dixon, the owner of Life Help Now in Nashville, Tennessee, and we're here today with Expert Village. Our topic today is how to overcome fear. I would like you to know that you can face your fear head on and begin to overcome it. What I mean by that is let's take for example, you have a fear of going to the dentist or a fear of dentistry. First, your analyze your fear. You look at it and you say what is it that I'm fearful of. Do I have fear of actually seeing the dentist? Do I have fear of the sounds that are in the room as my teeth are being worked on? Do I have a fear of the equipment, the tools, that are actually in my mouth? Do I have a fear of pain? You're going to look at what it is that's bothering you about going to the dentist. Not bothering you, but actually giving you fear. You’re going to look at it and you're going to look at it with a great amount of detail. After you analyze it, you'll begin to look at the solutions for it. It's a very big, and it's very important to look at each detail in such a way that you'll know what you need. Not somebody else, what you need. You can actually call and get a referral, a different dentist. You can interview them, check on different dentist, and see if you are compatible, if you all work well together. The first part of this fear of dentistry is to overcome it by analyzing it."
