"Hi! I'm Brenda F. Dixon, the owner of Life Help Now in Nashville, Tennessee, and we're here today with Expert Village. Our topic today is how to overcome fear. This is a very courageous thing for one to do, for you to do, to be able to look at yourself and to be able to overcome fear. I'm really proud that people are trying to do that, you're trying to do that, over come this fear. To overlay that negative thinking by positive thinking, it's a very good thing to do. I'm going to give you an example. If you're in a situation where you're starting to feel fear and you're starting to feel tense, you can say in your thought I am feeling fear. When you say I'm feeling fear, your body has to respond to it. You can counter that by saying I will not experience fear. I will not be afraid. Do you know that you body has to line up with that. The more you say it, the stronger you get. You have to be careful the way you say it. You can't say it real timidly. You've got to say with boldness. You've got to say it with strength. I will not be afraid. I will have no fear. This begins to incorporate in your body and fear is just pushed out. It just pushes it away."
