"Hi, I'm Chris, owner of Salon Teez, for Expert Village this is how to create your own iron on t-shirt. There are several types of transfers that we can actually use when creating our iron on transfer. We can create our own. This is typically a cold peel transfer. And it's called a cold peel transfer because once the transfer is applied to the t-shirt, we need to wait a couple of minutes before we actually peel the backing off. Making sure that all the ink is transferred to the t-shirt itself. The next type of transferred that can be found at various art supply stores. It's called a hot split transfer. This transfer is called a hot split transfer because once we applied the transferred to the t-shirt the ink will go on the t-shirt. But there may be some ink left on the transfer paper itself. That's why it's called the hot split transfer. Some of the ink goes on to the t-shirt. The some of the ink stays on the transfer paper. Interesting thing about a hot split transfer is these are typically softer and feel more like whatever. There are several types of transfers that we can use when creating our iron on t-shirt. But it's a cold peel because we need to wait for it to cool down before we actually peel the back. The second type of transfer that we can find at most supply warehouses; is a hot split transfer. The reason it's called a hot split transfer is some of the ink transfers on to the t-shirt, while some of the ink remains on the transfer paper itself. It's interesting to know that with a hot split transfer. These typically are softer to the touch and are very wearable. We also have a rhyme stone type of transfer. This transfer is a hot fix rhinestone where the glue of the stones is actually on the back of the stones. Once they're heated up that glue melts and the rhinestones are then attached to the t-shirt that we're using. Most of these can be already found in the art supply warehouses, but you can also create your own. The next type is a much larger type. And this is called a hot peel transfer, meaning once the t-shirt and the transfer have been heated up and applied to the t-shirt, the backing can be removed while the back is still very hot. The ink will transfer to the t-shirt. And these are typically larger and can be found at various art and supply warehouses as well as on the Internet at some transfer companies. "
