"Hi, I'm Candi Cane Canncel with Expert Village. In this clip I'm going to show you how to attach your potholders together to get ready to sew the whole thing together. The first thing you want to do is go ahead and trim all these little extra pieces of string that you got from quilting your pieces. Once all that is done you are going to go ahead and match up the right side together and you are going to be stitching the right side of the lining as well as the right side to the fabric. So in essence you are going to be making two pot holders and then slipping one inside of the other and securing it at the bottom. So you just want to match up as best as you can and go ahead and pin all the way around. When you are going to be stitching these together you want to make sure to give yourself at least half inch seam allowance because that is going to make sure to keep all these stitches in the seam. You won't end up getting any of this extra stitching onto your actual piece it will just stay in the seam and no one will know the difference. So just go all the way around and pin and I alway like to make sure that there is a pin here in the thumb portion."
