"Hello, this is Jeff Naylor from Mtroniks Engineering in Mesa, Arizona, for Expert Village. There are several reasons you might want to replace your tubes. If your amp is cutting out when you play, if you notice your amp is playing at a lower volume than normal, if your amp sounds more distorted than it normally does at a low volume, if your amp tends to squeal or if you see one of your tubes glowing brighter than it usually does, or if you smell a burning smell, these are good signs that you might need to replace your tubes. As always when working with any electronic device, make sure it's been unplugged and setting for a while before removing these screws. That's kind of an optional tool. We must remove the back plastic plate to locate the three pin male connector. Now we've got the back cover off and we're ready to remove the pre-amp tubes which we'll cover in our next segment."
