"Welcome to Expert Village. My name is Hugh Murphy with Surf the Sky Paragliding. In this clip, we'll talk about preflighting your para motor and your paraglider. Starting from the top with your paraglider, you want to make sure that your paraglider has no rips, tears, or repairs. And, as the lines come down from the paraglider, that there's no torn sheaves, that there's no torn lines. As you come down to the quick links, you want to make sure that all of your quick links are screwed in properly, that your riser is set in straight into the carabiner as we mentioned before, that your carabiner is either locking automatically or you have a lock system for it. And then, as you get down to the unit, the harness first, you want to make sure that all the straps are straight, that they're not twisted, and that they're comfortably adjusted for your height and weight. Then, for the motor unit, you want to make sure that you don't have any loose screws, that you're fueled properly, and that everything is safe and inspected with the motor unit."
