"This is John Mendez with Expert Village. We are going to talk about the jump rings that are going to connect all of your beading chain pieces together. It's important to choose the right jump ring because the size hole on your connectors, your millimeter, is pretty small. I have chosen a pretty heavy gauge jump ring. This one I believe is about twenty millimeters in diameter but the gauge itself is eighteen gauge and that is pretty heavy. You can go with eighteen gauge or anything thinner. So the higher gauge that you go the thinner the wire will be. So you can switch to a twenty gauge wire which will slip in really quickly. But the eighteen gauge just fits that hole so you get a nice clean tight look, a real, real professional look out of that. So it's nice and heavy looking, really rich and I like to choose that for that reason and plus the jump ring itself at eighteen gauge is nice and strong. You don't have to anneal the wire, the jump ring any more to make it stronger. It's nice and strong on its own so you can just close it up and it's good to go. And you can see I have already closed it with my hands but you can use your pliers with that or you can use your fingers. So that is how it gets connected and we are going to add another piece of wire to that and just keep linking them all together until you have a necklace. And we will put that little crystal on there before we do that. "
