"Today, I'm going to show you how to make a rain stick. A rain stick is basically, paper towel holders put together and we're going to put some regular rice, white rice, inside and we're going to make it so when the rice rolls back and forth it actually sound like rain falling. It's a really, really, neat project and it's a lot of fun. The kids like to play with it, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it too. Let me show you the supplies you're going to need to make a rain stick. The first thing you're going to need is paper towel holders, the rolls from inside, you're going to need two of those. Now if you use any other type of rolls, then they should just add up to the size of the, the size of two paper towel rolls. That's basically the length that we need. We're going to attach them together. And we're going to need a piece of cardboard from a carton, this is going to, what we're going to cut a circle and seal the bottom of the rolls. We're going to need a sharp object to put some holes along the length of the rolls, and in order to do that, I'm going to use a screwdriver. Either a small screwdriver, or you can use a pencil and we're going to need a scissors and masking tape. Along with some yarn, I chose two colors to decorate the stick. And I'm going to need about a half, and cup and a half to two cups of plain white rice. I'm going to need wooden matches, this is very important because this is what is going to create the sound. We're going to stick them into the rolls, and as the rice rolls down it's going to hit the matchsticks. It's going to create a sound and I'm going to need some regular white glue, some crafts glue, that's found in any craft store, regular school glue. So, these are the supplies you're going to need to create a rain stick."
