"Hello my name is Denise Roberson and on behalf of Expert Village I'm here to show you how to customize a lamp shade. Here is our cut pattern for our lamp shade. Now I'm going to take a piece of fabric and I'm going to leave it folded because the fold is where I'm going to put the fold with the pattern at. You don't have to cut the whole pattern; I can use half of it. So I'm going to fold the pattern in half like this. Put my piece of fabric on the table flat. Then put the fold of the pattern onto the fold of the fabric. Like so. Then I would get some straight pins and pin them along the sides so they would stay in place like so. That would be the beginning of placing our pattern onto our fabric to get ready to cut. "
