Creating your own website with a professional program like Dreamweaver can be a daunting task. Even programs designed for the casual user such as Microsoft's Front Page can be difficult to use, with tricky instructions and features that can be hard to figure out. Yet you still want to build your own home page, but without all of the time and frustration it takes to learn a program from scratch. The solution is to use website templates. In this free series of web design videos, our professional internet consultant takes you step by step through the creation of a website using templates. He gives you hints on how to plan the site, tells you a couple of places where you can find samples, then talks you through the construction of your home page. Video Transcript

"Hello everyone, I'm Terry Bowden with Expert Village. And today we're going to look at website templates. We're going to be building a website through template management. And what this means is the manufacturer has already made the pages and already implemented the photos for you to use. Instead of using a pretty much time consuming program, such as Microsoft FrontPage, Dreamweaver and some of those. These have already been developed, so you just point and click and move it around where ever you want it. So, we're going to take a look at Websites One, which is a well known one out there that a lot of people use. But before you even begin the process of developing a website, you want to think about what it is that you are going to be marketing, what you are going to be saying. If you're going to be selling something online, or if you just want to put out general information. So get all those thoughts down first, and then you can begin manufacturing your own website, ok? Ok, and as I said, we're going to be taking a look at Websites One, and there's a lot of features and benefits to this particular one, and as you see on this screen, build a business website in under five minutes, and that's just about how it works. So in our next segment we're going to take a look at building a website through Websites One."
