"Hi this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip, we would be talking about connecting our sweeper to a power source. This power sweeper is designed with a polarized plug. Meaning one of the prongs is larger then the other one. Now you would want to make sure and only use this power sweeper with an extension cord that also has a polarized plug. Again, one of those prongs is bigger then the other one. Ultimately you want to use an outlet that also is polarized. If the extension cord does not fully fit into the outlet, you want to try flipping the cord upside down and seeing if it fits. If it still doesn't, you want to verify that your cord is a polarized extension cord. If it is not, you need to go buy one. Lastly, when using a extension cord you want to make sure and use one of the proper gage."
