"Hi, I'm Ed Reyes with Master Builders here in Tampa, Florida on behalf of Expert Village to teach you the proper use of an electric scroll saw. Now when you are using this machine, it reciprocates up and down so you are going to get some shakage and usage. What you don't want to do is you don't want this machine to move while you are using it. So the best thing to do is I use a mount here with clamps and you tighten them on the sides so this thing is secure and tight. The best thing to do for this machine is they have mounting holes on front and back. Now that is if you are going to mount this machine in a shop some where or if it is going to be stationary and you are not going to move it for a while. I recommend screwing them down really good. Since I travel a lot and we take this on the job site a lot, that is not possible. So we bought a stand that has these mounts that tightens in and just want to make sure you are on a steady surface and that this unit does not move. We recommend this particular stand because of the clamps are adjustable and it really works well. I can only emphasize to keep it on a steady solid foundation because when you are cutting, you might spend 5 minutes on a piece an inch long and get it perfect. And if you mess up the next 5, you have to start all over again. The number one thing to do is to make sure that this thing is mounted properly whether you use this type of stand or whether you mount it with the holes in it. "
