Step 1
P.C. Monitor with theAssuming you have the Computer turned on and the Monitor lit up... the first step is to use your PC mouse and slide the cursor over to the "Start Button" and left click on it.
-
Step 2
The On-Screen Keyboard at the bottom of the monitor..Alright then, now you can slide the cursor up to "All Programs" with the mouse and left click on it. Once you have 'all the programs' on the monitor screen, slide the cursor up to the "Accessories" program and left click the mouse on it.
-
Step 3
Actual On-Screen Keyboard, appears and functions like the standard P.C. keyboard! You will then see a sub list of choices on the right. Move the cursor directly to the right (usually,) choose "Accessibility." and left click on it. This will give you a few choices, one of which is "On-Screen Keyboard"... left click on it and Bam! You have an On-Screen Keyboard displayed on the top of whatever document or page you are working on.
-
Step 4
Another look at the On-Screen Keyboard! Now the On-Screen Keyboard is on your screen... you can move the keyboard around by "click and drag" so it is out of your working area.
The P.C. mouse is now your best friend! By using the mouse and moving the cursor to the keys on the On-Screen Keyboard and clicking on them. This will place the letters and numbers etc. that you left click on (include spaces and punctuation as usual) into the area your typing, just as the standard keyboard would have done! Experiment with how fast you can go and have fun! ~Bailey Out!

on 3/25/2009 Good article. I never knew this existed. It might come in handy sometime. On my version of Vista, instead of "Accessbility" click "Ease of Access". 5*

on 10/7/2008 I forgot to tell you... this is GREAT to use at night! My brother's computer is in the bedroom, where his wife has to sleep at 7pm! (she goes to work at 3am!) So when he uses the On-Screen keyboard, he doesn't have to use any lights! Great idea Randy!
