"I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to show you some tips and techniques that I use when exercising my horse using Calisthenics. So getting your horse really skilled with these various calisthenics could be really beneficial to you when you are riding in a scenario with a large group of people or if you are showing. Getting your horse to move more laterally would just give you better steering properly. Teaching your horse to bring its hip in will give you better lope departures. It would just enable you to better control you horse so you can pass people, side pass around people, do indirect turns and go the other direction. Even at the jog it would kind of allow you to neck train a little bit better so you don't have to work so hard at steering your horse. Backing up. So just by teaching your horse these various techniques are going to lead to better workableness of your horse and overall a better ridable animal."
