"Hi, I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you some tips and techniques that I use to band my horses mane. So now that we have a couple of braids in our horse mane. We are going to start pulling in a downward motion. I'm going to take my band, I'm going to grab it right at the top of the first braid that we made. We are going to wrap it around as many times as we need to, to keep it straight. We are going to be kind of pulling the band upward every time we turn it around and pull it on top of the one that we made. That would ensure that our band lays nice and flat. It is not sticking up and it is going to be really nice and tight. You also want to make sure when you are pulling in downward motion this makes it really nice and flat cause you don't want your band to be sticking up in the air like that. You don't want a lot of hair sticking out of it. You can see to the fact that we did the little bit of the braid there, the couple of braids on the top really made it nice and flat. So it made it a lot easier to band a lot flatter and a lot neater looking. So that is how you want to put a band in your horses mane."
