"Hi, I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you some tips and techniques that I use to band my horses mane. So now that we have our mane nice and trim, we have our bridle path trim we are going to separate the mane and prepare to band. So we are going to take our little comb and we are just going to pull downward motion. We are actually going to part the mane in a one inch section. You want to actually clearly see a part there. This is like you were parting your own hair and now we are going to secure it with a clip. So you don't want your sections much bigger than an inch so that is a appropriate section. You also want to make sure when you pull it down that your section is straight. Now I could see here that I have 1 little piece of hair that needs to come out to give me a nice clean part. So I'm just going to pull that out and reclip it because when you actually have a whole row of these, you should be able to clearly see the sectioned mane. It should look really nice and neat. It should not look like you have jagged parts or it should not look sloppy. It should be nice even parts and even sections. "
