"I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to show you some tips and techniques I use when bathing my horse. So now that we have our horse nice and wet, we're going to prepare to shampoo her. So I'm just going to put a small amount of shampoo here in my bucket, take and fill it up so we get some nice suds. Now once we have that full, we're ready to shampoo her. We're going to use our scrubbing mitt here. I'm just going to stick it in there, get some suds on there and then we're just going to use a lot of vigorous, circular motions, loosen up any dirt and sweat that might be crusted deeper down into her skin. We're going to get her nice and soaped up. Especially where the saddle goes, there tends to usually be a lot of dirt and sweat deep down, crusted into that area. Get her hind end. And then we're just going to scrub down the legs. Get her chest. Then, of course, we're going to go around to the other side and repeat the same motions. So that's how you want to shampoo the body."
